European and Euroregional Projects

Jean-Marc Matos and K. Danse have long been engaged in European and Euroregional cultural and scientific cooperation, demonstrating a structured practice of cross-border collaboration, research-creation, and professional development.

European Research and Innovation Projects

  • WhoLoDancE (H2020, 2016–2019) – A choreographic research, innovation, and technology project bringing together European academic and creative institutions, with K. Danse as an active partner.

  • Metabody (2013–2016) – A European cultural project supported by the European Union’s Culture Programme, with K. Danse as co-organiser and driving force behind the transdisciplinary Metabody_Toulouse platform.

  • Bodynet-Khoros (2022–2024) – A transdisciplinary European project (France–Spain–Greece) exploring choral arts, digital technologies, and socio-ecological issues, with K. Danse organising Metabody_Toulouse sessions dedicated to these themes.

European Artistic Cooperation Projects

  • CSGO-Best (AEPYDEA) – A European cooperation project involving Bulgaria and Greece (2024–2026), bringing together 44 young artists from 11 countries. K. Danse works were presented in Bulgaria and Greece, including Focale-Z 25, RCO, and Myselves.

Euroregional Projects

Occitanie – Catalonia – Balearic Islands / Pyrenees-Mediterranean Euroregion**

  • Dis-T-Dance (2020–2021) – A structuring Euroregional cooperation project connecting choreographic scenes and practices.

  • Ada ArtEina (2022–2023) – A collaborative platform for artistic creation and cultural exchange between Occitanie, Catalonia, and the Balearic Islands.

  • COS ArtEina2 (2024–2025) – Continuation of the Ada ArtEina project, including public presentations and artistic participation within Euroregional touring networks.

Concrete Examples of Project Activities

  • Participation in and presentation of performances at festivals and European cultural contexts connected to these cooperation projects, such as Myselves at the Ecoss Festival in Barcelona as part of COS ArtEina2.

  • Organisation of workshops, laboratories, and training/creation sessions through the Metabody_Toulouse platform, open to international artists, researchers, and participants, combining research, bodily improvisation, interactive technologies, and artistic mediation.

Myselves – International Presentations

The immersive and interactive performance Myselves, created by K. Danse, has been presented in several European countries through cultural cooperation programmes:

  • Tirana, Albania – as part of Novembre numérique with the Institut français, 19 November 2025;

  • Barcelona, Spain – Ecoss Festival and the Euroregional COS ArtEina2 project, 24 October 2025;

  • Sofia, Bulgaria – as part of the European cooperation project CSGO BEST, 21 June 2025.

These presentations demonstrate the ability of Jean-Marc Matos and K. Danse to position French artistic creations within structured international networks and to develop meaningful forms of cultural cooperation with European partners.

Education and Professional Development: ANDS / Arts–Numérique–Danse–Social

K. Danse led the ANDS project in Angoulême (2021–2023), a multidisciplinary programme supported by the DRAC and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, combining artistic creation, dissemination, cultural mediation, and educational programmes:

  • Creation and dissemination of hybrid performances (RCO, Roue, Maraya Arrouh);

  • Creative engagement with emerging artists and artists undergoing professional development;

  • Training, awareness-raising, and creation workshops for participants of all ages, from preschool children to adults.
